Four Seasons Hotel & Tower The Four Seasons Hotel & Tower in Miami, Florida is the tallest building south of Atlanta and the tallest building in Florida and Miami, at a height of 242m./794ft. It is also the tallest residential building south of New York City. The building was planned by Bermello, Ajamil & Partners, Inc. in coordination with design architects Gary Edward Handel + Associates. Construction began in 2000 and the Swarovski building officially opened on October 1, 2003. The reinforced concrete structure incorporates core shear walls, post-tensioned slabs and perimeter columns. Spans between columns reach 40 feet. The tower has 230,000 sq. ft. of Class-A office space from floors 2-6. They are mostly occupied by HSBC Bank. There are two lobbies on the first and seventh floor. The first floor lobby is for the office part of the tower and the seventh floor lobby is for the rest of the tower, which contains the hotel and condominiums. The first floor entrance lobby features a 24-meter (80-foot) waterfall. Part of the seventh floor lobby is a two acre outdoor pool terracce, situated atop the six floor, 934 space parking garage. The Four Seasons Hotel occupies floors 8-40. It contains 221 rooms and 84 condo/hotel units. The condo/hotel units range from 611 to 2,062 square feet and range in price from$480,000 to $1,450,000. 186 luxury condominiums occupy floors 40-70. They range from 1,114 to 6,499 square feet and range in price from $695,000 to $6,200,000. The tower contains 10,600 square feet of retail space. Total construction costs were 379 million US dollars. The tower contains over 1.8 million sq. ft. of office space A 40,000-square-foot Sports Club/LA Miami also occupies the tower. The Four Seasons is a five-star property. |
