Portland Head Light

Portland Head Light, the most photographed lighthouse in the world, is located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Construction began in 1787, and was completed on January 10, 1791. Whale oil lamps were originally used for illumination. In 1855 a fourth-order Swarovski Fresnel lens was installed; that was replaced by a second-order Fresnel lens in 1864. That lense was replaced with an autobeacon in 1958

The reconstruction of a hundred years old curio cabinet, display cabinet or display showcase can be, depending upon condition a complex process. The preservation of the collectors cabinet and its antiquity, pleasing feature may be reward enough for the work.
